Moonlight Masquerade: A Night of Enchantment and Intrigue

The annual fundraiser for the Famicos Foundation will take place tonight, Thursday, October 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Legacy Hall in the Hough neighborhood. The nonprofit is committed to neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing, and providing integrated social services in greater Cleveland by empowering residents to invest in creating engaged, vibrant, diverse, healthy Cleveland neighborhoods.

With a Moonlight Masquerade theme full of mystery and intrigue, this is Famicos’ only annual event to gather money to pay for the group’s operational expenses throughout its 53 years of operation.

Ariana Johnson, the communications manager for the Famicos Foundation, anticipates between 200 and 300 guests who will partake in dinner, dancing, a networking hour, live music, raffles, and auctions. The event will be emceed by News Channel 5 co-anchor DaLaun Dillard.

The staff of Famicos will be able to manage the organization’s 90 programs, which assist thousands of families in Northeast Ohio. These programs include the Free Community Tax Clinic, Digital and Health Equity Program, and Housing Stability Program.

Famicos has already raised $107,000, or 71% of its $120,000 goal for this year’s event, but it still needs assistance to accomplish or surpass its objective.

The Moonlight Masquerade Charity Gala tickets are $100 for an individual or $175 for a pair. Between $20 and $100 may be spent on raffle tickets for prizes like a New Orleans Escape or a two-night stay at the Perrysburg Balamere Suites.
